Science of Healing
Physic means "the science of healing" in Latin. The firm is also named for the Chelsea Physic Garden, one of the world's oldest and most important repositories of medicinal botanical specimens. This photo features a statue of Dr. Hans Sloane, who helped establish the garden in the 1700's as a permanent resource for the scientific community.

Physic Ventures was founded to provide financial and other strategic resources to entrepreneurial teams committed to building great companies focused on personal and planetary health and wellbeing. We invest in validated science and technology that translates into products and services with distinct and discernable consumer benefits. Through the investing activities of our funds, we aim to address the most pressing health and environmental issues of our time.
Our team is both patient and urgent in our investment practice. We know that it takes time to build value in a young business, but we also understand both the competitive dynamics of the marketplace and the need to establish an early leadership position.
